Richard M. (Dick) Smith, Managing Partner
 
Dick Smith is Baltimore born and bred. He attended local Baltimore schools and Johns Hopkins University, with his first job out of college with Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point. Dick has extensive management and human resources experience with a variety of businesses, including OEM manufacturing, Health Care, and Consumer Products.  In addition to being the Managing Partner at POS Technologies, Dick is also on the Board of Directors of Foxfire Printing.
 
 
Alan L. Burrows, Partner – VP Sales
 
After graduating from Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration, Alan spent 8 years in hospitality operations before joining MICROS Systems.  Alan spent 15 years in sales with MICROS and counted among has customers, the likes of Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels, Hyatt Hotels, Hard Rock Café, and Planet Hollywood.  Before joining POS Technologies, Alan also spent time with Ibertech, the parent company of Aloha.  Alan was responsible for one of Aloha’s first Enterprise customers.
 
 
Scott Wakeley, Partner – VP Technology
 

POS technologies benefits from Scott Wakeley’s over 15 years of hands on hospitality experience in restaurants, nightclubs, and hotels.  He has held positions from kitchen prep through manager with such companies as Marriott Hotels, Sheraton Hotels, Interstate Hotels, and Chi Chi’s Restaurants, as well as with free standing operations. His experience, combined with extensive training with Aloha, as well as Microsoft certification training, has allowed Scott to design and implement technology solutions that range from a 1 terminal coffee shop to interstate multi location Enterprise solutions.
